Sets cardinality

The cardinal is the number or amount of elements of a set, it can be a finite or an infinite quantity.

Given a set A, the cardinal of this set is symbolized by means of $| A |$ or $c a r d (A)$ .

Example

For instance, if $A$ has $3$ elements, the cardinal is indicated this way: $| A | = 3$ .
